State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam has released an official notification regarding PST/ PET of 577 posts of constable under Fire & Emergency Services, APRO and Assam Commando Battalion.

State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam has invited application for the recruitment of 540 Constable Vacancy in Assam Police Radio Organisation (APRO). Interested and eligible candidates may apply online here.
Government of Assam has sanctioned 70 posts of Constables (WO/WT/CY) for newly created Assam Commando Battalions. These newly sanctioned 70 post will be clubbed along with 441 post of Constable (WO/WT/OPR) already advertised as the essential qualification and other criteria of both the post are same.However, the candidate those who applied earlier for the posts of Constable (WO/WT/OPR) against advertisement dated 15th February 2022 need not to apply again and their candidature will be considered for the newly sanction 70 posts of Constables (WO/WT/CY) for Assam Commando Battalions also.

Educational Qualification: 10+2 (Science) passed with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized Board or Council. The candidates must have obtained pass marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) of 10+2 (Science) examination to apply for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs.14,000-60,500/- (Pay Band II), with Grade pay of Rs.6,200/- and other admissible allowances.

Other Criteria of APRO Vacancy
Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens, permanent resident of Assam. Selected candidates will have to submit proof of residence /Domicile Certificate after publication of the final select list. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC/MOBC are exempted from submitting such certificates.
Employment Exchange Registration Certificate: Candidates must register his/ her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must speak Assamese or any other state language fluently.
Age Limit: Candidates age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st January 2022 (i.e., Candidate must be born on or before 01/01/2004 and on or after 01/01/1997).
Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below
● SC/ST: 5 years

● Trained Home guard: 3 years
