RRB Guwahati Admit Card 2025


Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Guwahati has released the RRB Group D admit card of CBT Test for the recruitment of 32438 Various Posts in Level 1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix in various Zonal Railways and Production Units of Indian Railways against Centralized Employment Notice no. CEN 08/2024. Indian Railways is going to conduct computer based tests for these vacancy from 27th November 2025 to End of 16th January 2026.

Selection Process of Railway Group D Recruitment 


The recruitment process for RRB Group D posts comprise of the following stages:
  1. Computer Based Tests (CBT)
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  3. Document Verification (DV) and
  4. Medical Examination (ME) 

Computer Based Test (CBT)


A Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held with duration of 90 minutes among all eligible candidates. The Questions will be of objective type with multiple choices. The basic structure of CBT is as follows.

Negative Marking: There will be negative marking and 1/3 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer.

Cut-Off Marks: Minimum percentage of marks for shortlisting in various communities: UR-40%, EWS-40%, OBC (Non creamy layer)-30%, SC-30%, ST-30%. These percentage of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2 marks for PwBD candidates in case of shortage of PwBD candidates against vacancies reserved for them.

Syllabus for RRB Group D CBT


The syllabus for RRB Group D is as mentioned below.

a. Mathematics


Number system, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square root, Age Calculations, Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern etc.

b. General Intelligence and Reasoning


Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision making, Similarities and Differences, Analytical Reasoning, Classification, Directions, Statement – Arguments and Assumptions etc.

c. General Science


The syllabus under this shall cover Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences of 10th standard level (CBSE).

d. General Awareness on Current Affairs


in Science & Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics and any other subject of importance.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)


a) Based on the merit of the candidates in the CBT, candidates shall be called for PET three times the community wise total vacancy of the Posts notified against RRBs/RRCs. However, Railways reserve the right to increase/decrease this ratio as required to ensure availability of adequate/reasonable number of candidates for all the notified posts.

b) Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory and the same will be qualifying in nature. The criteria for PET are as under:

Document Verification and Empanelling of Candidates


a) Based on the performance of candidates in CBT subject to their qualifying in PET, the number of candidates to be called for Document Verification (DV) will be equal to the number of notified vacancies (i.e. in the ratio of 1:1).

b) In case of two or more candidates securing same normalized percentile score, their merit position shall be determined by age criteria i.e. older person shall be placed at higher merit and in case age being same, then alphabetical order (A to Z) of the name shall be taken into account to break the tie.

c) Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificates and verification of antecedents/character of the candidates.
